Adventtoppen

Hyvän sään aikana on syytä käydä retkeilemässä, koska kohta on taas oikeasti pimeää. Vuonon toisella puolella on Hiorthfjellet (926m), jolla ollaan käyty lumiseen aikaa mutta ei muuten. Hypätään kajakkiin ja melotaan vuonon toiselle puolelle, josta matka jatkuu jalan kohti Adventtoppenin ja Hiorthfjelletin välistä solaa. Harjanne "oikealle mäelle" on paitsi kivinen myös kuurassa (= liukas), joten vaihdetaan lennosta suunnitelmaa ja mennäänkin Adventtoppenille. Hienot maisemat.

The mountains on the other side seem to always be on the agenda and the combination of a short paddle across the fjord with a hike to the summit works really well. Especially when the weather is good. We did some changes to the route and destination to avoid icy and thus very slippery rock ridge. In fact, the summit of Adventtoppen is more like a real summit than the summit of Hiorthfjellet, which is a somewhat boring plateau (although, the views from there are excellent). In any case, a very nice trip again!
