One simply does not say "no thanks" to an offer to visit to Ny-Ålesund. Even if it means that instead of the usual maximum of 20kg luggage one is limited to one max. 10kg bag. There was some scheduling issues with the airplane and we needed lighter bags for the helicopter flight. What a disappointment... The fieldwork with students was mostly handled by the students whereas I just got to see everything and discuss future possibilities for collaboration.
