Kovaa lunta Nordenskiöldillä / Loud skiing

Perinteinen Nordenskiöldin hiihtoreissu oli vielä tekemättä, joten käytettiin hieno sää hyväksi. Koko päivä oli enimmäkseen nk. märkähattu-hiihtoa, jossa aurinko käristi armottomasti ja sekä paita että lippis olivat enemmän tai vähemmän märkiä. Takkikin oli syytä laittaa reppuun. Myös housujen sivuvetoketjut oli auki suunnilleen alusta alkaen. Lumi oli kivikovaa, jäistä tai röpelöistä korppua, sellaista joka irroittaa hampaiden paikkoja käännöksissä. Mutta maisemat oli edelleen hienot.

No wind just merciless heat from the Sun with additional sweat from the uphill. All engines were overheating on the way to Nordenskiöldfjellet (1051m). There was no good snow, just really icy patches with or without uneven texture. All turns were loud and screeching. On the plus side, there was a lot of downhill like that...
