Kaupat oli launtaina niin täynnä turisteja, että piti mennä valokuvaamaan ja odottaa turistien paluuta laivaan. No, Aidaluna nosti kytkintä illalla, mutta aamulla tilalla oli pölähtänyt vähintään yhtä suuri Mein Schiff. Sekin tosin irrotti köydet ja suuntasi kohti naapurivuonoa. Joten nyt laiturissa on Expedition ja huomenna satamassa piipahtaa kolme muuta risteilyalusta...

Every time I look out towards the port of Longyearbyen, there seems to be a different cruise ship unloading tourists into the town. The shops are definitely more busy than earlier this year. This is why we have so many shops out here, so I am not actually complaining. It does nevertheless feel like we, the local inhabitants, are part of the zoo exhibition as well. Many would be disappointed to know that we are only doing space research instead of seal hunting. Well, seal hunting is actually quite popular up here, but most of the space researchers prefer reindeer hunting...
