Missä se lumi viipyy? / Where's the snow?

Alkuviikosta oli hirveä tuuli ja Adventdalenin hiekkamyrsky narskui hampaissa myös kaupungilla kävellessä. Nyt kun on vaihteeksi kirkasta illalla, niin kävin nappaamassa kokeeksi revontulikuvan vakiopaikalta "vesitornimäeltä". Kuvassa näkyy hienosti, kuinka vähän meillä on tällä hetkellä lunta.

One always expects that this far north we'd have plenty of snow, but nope. The climate is pretty dry, despite what one would think after all the rain we've had recently. So, no precipitation and thus no snow yet. I could also blame our colleague who recently bought new skis...
