Tehtiin äkkilähtö MS Bard:in iltapäiväristeilylle Borebuktaan katsomaan jäätiköitä. Lintuja oli toistaiseksi harvakseltaan liikkeellä. Yksi lunni tunnistettiin jälkikäteen kuvista, pohjankiisloja lenteli ohi ja riskilöitä taas tuntui olevan joka paikassa. Pari mursua bongattiin jäälautoilta löhöilemässä ja paluumatkalla pinnassa pyörähti myös lahtivalas.
Captain's Favourite with MS Bard is a short 4-hour afternoon trip to somewhere where the Captain thinks there'll be "something interesting to see". It is still early May and the flight traffic around the fjord is relatively quiet. We did spot guillemots, northern fulmars and common eiders. Also, there were a couple of walrus snoring on the sea ice close to the glacier. On the way back, we also saw a minke whale.
