Pikkubroidin synttärien kunniaksi piti vähän käydä rantakävelyllä todella hienossa kevätsäässä. Pakkasta on viitisen astetta ja aurinko paistaa. Kylällä on varsin rauhallista sunnuntaiaamuisin ja haahkat nukkuu joko rannalla tai jäähyyhmässä rannan tuntumassa. Riskilät on kesähöyhenissä, pulmuset poukkoilee maassa ja lokit haahuilee sinne sun tänne etsimässä sapuskaa.
Another beautiful day in Longyearbyen! The next sunset will be somewhere in August and, at home, upstairs get surprisingly warm in the sunhine (plus the Sun will shine into the living room during the night). We are starting to see more and more birds arriving. I think the next ones will be the sandpipers, if they have not already arrived. Belugas have also been spotted several times, but the small boats are still mostly on land. Maybe I should get a long fishing rod so I could use the hydrophone from the shoreline...
