Talvi alkaa taas pikkuhiljaa lähestyä ja päivänvalo vähenee. Toisaalta pikkupakkaset on mukavasti jäädyttänyt kaikki joet, joten tarjolla on taas pari sellaista retkikohdetta, joihin ei muuten viitsi kahlata tai uida. Hiekkamyrsky on puhallellut Adventdalenin pohjalle hienon hiekkakerroksen lumen ja jään päälle.
This is the time of the year when the frozen rivers simplify crossing rivers. We did the inaugural autumn hike to Tenoren. Also, the trip to Fuglefjellet felt much simpler compared to all the trouble we had trying to cross the river in the summer.
