Pimeys yöaikaan senkun kasvaa vauhdilla ja kuulema Nooran opiskelijat on jo nähny revontulia. Hyvä niin. Meikäläinen kävi parin päivän keikalla Oslossa ihmettelemässä väenpaljoutta ja ruuhkaa. Tosin ensin piti käydä vähän tutkahommissa. Sähköverkon huoltotyöt oli pistäny sähköt poikki sen verran vauhdilla, että sulakkeet oli räpsähtäny. Ja eihän se tutka ilman sähköä toimi.
Ensimmäisenä päivänä Oslossa oli järkyttävän kuuma, ainakin +18C ja ehkä vähän ylikin. Muut päivät oli sitten lähinnä sateisia. Silloin, kun ei satanu tolkuttomasti, oli joko pientä tihkusadetta tai sitten seuraava sadekuuro oli nurkan takana.
The darkness is increasing and some locals have already seen northern lights around midnight. In about a month or so, the Sun will set for this year. Busy times for us, though: there are several instrument groups coming to check their instruments and the local electricity provider desperately prefers to finish power line maintenance before dark (and cold). Which, of course, resulted in our radar refusing to come online after the power cut.
It had been a while since I visited Oslo (downtown) last time. There was a lot of people going in all directions. After the first heat shock, the weather settled in a standard where it either rained a lot or not that much. The third option was that would soon rain a lot.
