Tänään on 29. toukokuuta ja puuterilumi alkaa olla vähissä. Meiltä jäi joku viikko sitten kesken hyvä reitti, joten kivutaan takaisin ylängölle. Ylämäessä on (taas) kuuma eikä eilisestä navakasta tuulesta ole tietoakaan. Trollsteinen jälkeen seurattiin hauskaa harjannetta seuraavalle nyppylälle, josta laskettiin jyrkkää mäkeä Longyearbreen-jäätikölle. Kylältä lumet on jo käytännössä lähteneet, joten loppumatka kolisteltiin hiihtomonoissa.
We climbed the backyard hill up to reach a snowy plateau.There was practically no wind until we reached the final ridge to Trollsteinen. The route continued following the ridge to another top, Lars Hiertafjellet. We skied first down to Larsbreen but the hopped over Sarkofagen to Longyearbreen. It was a walk rather than ski back home from Nybyen.
