Aurinko paistaa ja digikamerat räpsyvät. Pienikin tuulenvire vajaan parinkymmenen asteen pakkasessa pistelee poskia, mutta muuten on erinomaisen hieno talvipäivä. Postitoimisto on täynnä auringonpimennysturisteja, jotka haluavat tietysti erikoispostimerkin leimoineen. Me puolestamme hankimme postilaatikon (PB = Post Boks).

Another beautiful day in Longyearbyen! Our options are, unfortunately, limited as we don't have a flare gun and a rifle (yet): both are mandatory items when out of town. At least we can start breaking in the mountaineering boots by walking around. The snow is really hard and it seems to be perfectly normal for people to have crampons attached to their backpacks at the grocery store.
